Earth Day Movies for Your Students

Earth Day is about celebrating our planet and supporting environmental protection. It is our responsibility to take care of our home. April 22 is quickly approaching, and it’s important to get your students engaged in the conversation and care about the cause.

Movies are always a favorite, as they can be incredibly informational and fun!

Smithsonian has a great list of green-themed movies for kids:

Be sure to check out their website for more detailed information on how these movies relate to Earth Day. After viewing a movie, be sure to lead a class discussion about it. Here are a few starters:

What was the main conflict in the movie?
Do you think this is a problem society currently faces? Or will we in the future?
How does this make you feel?
How was the problem handled? Was this an effective solution?
What can we do to prevent this from happening? How can we help our planet?
